Description
The Johnson Controls C-5230-2 Signal Limiter is used to limit the signal levels in pneumatic HVAC systems. It is made of plastic and can be used in temperatures ranging between 32°F–248°F. Depending on the user, this limiter can limit high or low signals. This unit takes a universal input signal, for instance, 0-10 VDC or 4-20 mA, and retransmits the signal by the limiting mode chosen. In high signal limit mode, the C-5230-2 guarantees that the output never rises beyond a defined maximum pressure no matter the pressure exerted by the input signal. On the other hand, low signal limiting ensures that the output does not drop to a certain pressure level that is set in advance.
