Description
The York S1-025-26392-005 Automatic-Reset Rollout Switch monitors flue temperatures, interrupting burner operation when exhaust gases exceed 225F, then restoring power after cooling to 145F. This safety system prevents furnace overheating caused by blocked vents restricted airflow or malfunctioning heat exchangers that force combustion byproducts into unintended pathways in the HVAC system. Mounted near draft hoods or diverter assemblies, the bimetallic sensor responds rapidly to abnormal thermal conditions, cutting electrical circuits before dangerous situations escalate. A single-pole single-throw configuration ensures reliable protection without manual intervention, automatically resuming normal heating cycles.
