The Rheem-Ruud 47-22383-33 Limit switches are safety devices that are utilised in HVAC systems. This SPST limit switch has a manual reset feature so as to guarantee protection against the overheating condition. It is opened at 230°F and closed at 45°F avoiding damaging high temperatures and other unhealthy conditions of your system. The limit switch works at 120/230V AC and it is used to measure the temperature of HVAC equipment as furnaces as well as air handlers. When the temperature goes high of the set limit the switch cuts off the circuit hence ceasing to function until interjected. This functionality prevents the system from getting damaged in some way or from catching fire, thereby reducing the flames’ risk.
