The Tecumseh K146-13 Start Capacitor Kit offers high starting torque to assist the motors in reaching operating speed in HVAC systems. It has a rated capacitance and voltage and it stores and discharges electrical energy to assist motors in surmounting starting load resistance. It provides a smooth start for compressors, fans, or blower motors. The capacitor kit enhances the accuracy of motor operation, energy efficiency, and consistency of operation of refrigeration, cooling, and air-handling circuits in the normal operations of the system by improving acceleration, reducing electrical stress, and improving coordination with connected equipment.
