The Copeland 914-0053-10 Start Capacitor is a vital element in HVAC systems helping compressor motors to start easily. In starting the compressor motor, it serves like a start capacitor since it stores electrical energy and supplies it during startup to give necessary torque which can help to overcome initial inertia and begin rotation. This capacitor is strong and reliable for several HVAC applications and offering capacitance range of 145-174µF at 250 VAC. When starting the compressor, this starting capacitor momentarily increases voltage at the winding turning on motor assisting in pulling out required torque.
