And it’s made of plastic, this cover plays a little but crucial role in HVAC systems. Main purpose of this cover is to protect the interior parts of the thermostat from harm and dust, but the cover houses the essentialparts required to operate the thermostat. This hides the changeable setpoint and keeps the design clean looking and avoids unintentional adjustment. Also on it is a setpoint display window temperature.
