Carrier KH11HH066 is a relatively small part of Carrier HVAC systems that is called a strainer. Normally made of metal mesh, it is placed directly into the refrigerant line. Their main aim is to prevent debris, dirt and metal shaving from circulating within the system of the AC. The strainer also helps to protect essential system components such as the compressor and expansion valve from damage by these contaminants and your HVAC system will run smoothly. If not filtered out by a strainer, these contaminants can plug valves, restrict refrigerant circulation, or in some cases harm compressors, which will be costly to fix and have worse performance.
