Description
The Lennox 10Y66 is a Transformer Power Choke an essential part of an HVAC system which is used to control the electrical current. It is an inactive structure and does not need any other energy source to operate the device. It performs a function of a filter, eliminating high-frequency electrical noise that can interfere with other components of the HVAC system. This noise can emanate from almost any part of a vehicle including the compressor or fan motors. By eliminating this noise, the choke helps to lead to a smoother run as well as possibly enhance efficiency. As a choke it isn’t a product per se, but its purpose is to act as a supporting device which maintains your HVAC’s operations.
