Description
The Danfoss 130B1097 Cooling Fan is used to cool variable-frequency drives. VFDs are indispensable in HVAC systems because they directly influence the frequency, energy, and other aspects of the system with the help of control over the electric motor speed. For these drives to perform efficiently and also have a long life duration they need to be cooled where there are high loads or high temperatures. The main cooling fan works by blowing air over the VFD in a manner that it cools besides being hot just as is usual an indication that it is working. This serves the purpose of confining operation temperature, to minimize over-heating and overall harm. That is, by controlling the temperature the fan helps to control the conditions and there is no reason for a compromise of efficiency for the VFD.
