The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 061042 Dampener/Muffler 7/8”ODF is an equipment to reduce pulsation and noise in refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Pulsation resulting from the fluctuating flow of refrigerant can result in high levels of vibration, noise and sometimes harm to the equipment. This dampener/muffler helps to attenuate these pulsations by using a unique internal configuration. It is generally used in the liquid line of refrigeration applications such as chillers, heat pumps and air conditioners to safeguard valuable assets such as the compressor and valves.
