The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 058490 20-Ton Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is an essential part of refrigeration and air conditioning systems for large systems intended for use with R22 refrigerant. With 7/8”ODF Outside Diameter Flare inlet and 1 1/8”ODF outlet connections and a 5-foot capillary tube, this TXV accurately regulates the flow of liquid refrigerant into the evaporator. It also feels the temperature and manages the valve opening to permit the correct refrigerant flow. This results in increased system effectiveness, reduced power usage, higher cooling capability and generally better system performance.
