Description
The Carrier 00PPG000030600A is a discharge pressure transducer part in HVAC equipment. One it monitors the pressure of the refrigerant exiting the compressor, which must be there for proper operation of the system. The transducer converts the pressure to an electrical signal, passed on to the control board controlling the system. This data is used by the control board to control numerous functions including, compressor speed and refrigerant flow. The compressor can get too much pressure on it creating too much strain and a potential breakdown. On the other side, low pressure can drop cooling capacity.
