Description
The Trane SWT3173 is an essential safety device that is essential for Trane HVAC systems. This small switch only 5” long serves as a pressure safeguard. It has an SPDT contact arrangement with the power rating of the HVAC system 8.0 FLA, 48 LRA at 120/240V AC and it measures system pressure. Should the pressure drop below the set pressure of 250 PSI, the switch opens. This causes a break in the electrical circuit leading to the compressor preventing it from being damaged by running when low pressure is present. It protects your HVAC system from low pressure and saves your money from getting it repaired as well as helps in increasing the life of the compressor.
