The Carrier 332368-760 R410 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) Kit is a small finger-size replacement part for some of the Carrier A/C units using R410 refrigerant. This essentialpart working like a bi-metal spring mechanism allows the control of refrigerant flow ascends to improve its cooling efficiency. It is also known as a TXV and functions like a pressure control valve as well. When cold air is produced, the TXV measures the temperature and pressure of the refrigerant that is leaving the evaporator coil. The bimetal spring is sensitive to temperature fluctuations. If the pressure becomes high it means that there is no refrigerant, the spring then opens the valve to allow more cool liquid refrigerant into the coil.
