Description
The Carrier EA03SC455 Thermostatic Expansion Valve which is applied to the HVAC systems for controlling the refrigerant. It has a length of 60” and a diameter of a thin tube and sweat connections of 5/8” for the inlet and 3/8” for the outlet. The valve is made of bi-metal which is a material that changes its shape with change in temperature. This temperature sensitivity is central to the TXV’s operation. When the refrigerant temperature rises or drops in the system, the bi-metal part adjusts the valve’s internal mechanism to regulate the quantity of refrigerant that enters the evaporator coil.
