The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 030620 1/2” NPT solenoid valve used with 5/8” tubing, has a Cv flow coefficient of 3.6 which makes it possible to have efficient control of the fluid. This valve has 210CA series and is used in chillers, boilers, air handling units, and FCUs. Solenoid valves such as this one regulate the flow of refrigerant or other fluids through an electromagnetic coil which either opens or shuts an orifice within the valve.
