Description
The Emerson Flow Control (Alco) 062255 Bi-Flow Drier BFK-053S is a refrigeration line protection part that is used to eliminate moisture and contaminants in both flow directions of refrigerant. It has a desiccant-filled enclosure having 3/8-inch outside diameter female connections to entrap water, acids and particles as refrigerant is passed through during operation in cooling circuits of air conditioners, heat pumps, and other HVAC systems. The drier is positioned in the liquid line and it is installed in line with the directions of flow and it is connected to the refrigerant piping.
