Description
The Honeywell MP918B1105 Pneu.Act. 8-13Psi N.O. is a pneumatic actuator, which uses compressed air to operate valves and dampers in a variety of HVAC systems. It operates on the generally open principle, which means that airflow is allowed by default. When air pressure within a certain range is delivered, the actuator compresses a spring, shutting the valve or damper. When the pressure falls below the specified range, the airflow is reopened. In furnaces, it may adjust the supply of gas to the burner in response to temperature needs. In VAV systems, airflow is adjusted to particular zones within a building. The MP918B1105’s main advantage is its precise control over airflow, which allows HVAC equipment to operate more efficiently and comfortably.
