Description
The Johnson Controls CSD-CA1G1-1 is a small and highly flexible current sensor that can be used in HVAC applications. It has a split-core construction, which makes it possible to place it around live wires without breaking the circuits. This makes it suitable for upgrading old equipment or incorporating control functions into previously non-sensor-equipped systems. It operates based on the ability of the sensor to measure current passing through a wire. Its adjustable range sets a certain current value up to 1.25 A. If the current goes beyond this level, the relay that is incorporated into the design is triggered and an LED light is also illuminated. This relay output can be used to control several HVAC equipment such as fans, pumps, or dampers depending on the current being drawn.
