Description
The Johnson Controls DPT2640-0R5B-A Transducer is a Differential Pressure Transducer that is used in the HVAC systems where the variation of air pressure between two particular points is to be detected. This differential pressure is useful to provide the right pressure difference across the HVAC for the right airflow in the system which indirectly provides air quality of the room and temperature control. The transducer functions in the manner of converting the pressure difference into an electrical signal (in this instance, 0-5 VDC). This electrical signal is then used by the HVAC control system to monitor and adjust system operation, and the system can be either a centralized or decentralized one.
