The Lennox 14W77 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is a compact indoor unit, and is designed for use with R410A refrigerant in HVAC systems. Mounted internally with inlet and outlet openings of 3/8 Inch and ½ Inch respectively, this TXV regulates the amount of refrigerant that flows to the evaporator coil depending on its temperature. This makes the cooling to be efficient and the comfort level to be constant in your home. With no TXV, excessive amount of refrigerant could flood the evaporator thus lowering its efficiency and damaging the system.
