Description
The Lennox 28C14 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is a control element used for Lennox HVAC systems, often large air conditioners with a 5-ton cooling capacity. This valve is constructed from corrosion resistant materials and is an integral part of the system enabling efficiency and cooling capacity to be achieved. The TXV has a long, thin capillary tube (30 Inches) to measure the temperature in the evaporator coil. About this temperature, it properly controls the amount of refrigerant that gets into the coil through a 3/8-Inch inlet. The outlet has a 5/8-Inch ODF connection that makes the installation of this product possible within compatible refrigerant lines.
