Description
The Rheem-Ruud 47-21663-01 SPST N/C A/R Limit Switch is a temperature control safety system used in gas-fired heating equipment within systems. It monitors internal air or heat exchanger conditions and changes state when the temperature reaches 140F, reopening the circuit, then restores continuity at 130F once conditions drop. It regulates blower and burner sequencing by interrupting control signals when excessive heat is detected. In furnace assembly, it is placed on the heat chamber or the discharge air path. It supports controlled temperature cycling by maintaining better operating limits, ensuring consistent heat regulation and stable system response during routine heating operation cycles.
