Description
The Rheem-Ruud 47-25350-04 is designed to be a safety device which is to protect HVAC equipment from getting too hot. It is a limit switch with SPST that have auto reset facility. This mean it has one normally closed (NC) contact that open when the temperature rise up to 140°F and closes automatically when the temperature reduces to 120°F. The limit switch is mostly installed in the airflow path of the HVAC system. This is a failsafe incorporated in the device and if the temperature goes to 140°F, it triggers the switch which shuts down the supply of power to the machine and thus prevents it from getting burnt. When there is a decrease in temperatures to 120°F the switch can turn back on enabling the operation of the system.
