Description
The Trane CNT1320 switch is a small, but powerful piece of HVAC hardware. This is a well-known creation, this temperature control switch, or T-stat. It has a temperature range of 140°F open to 95°F closed and protects against overheating. A little on/off switch that turns on at temperature. The Trane opens the electrical circuit when the surrounding temperature reaches 140°F, usually shutting down power to a heating element or compressor. It helps prevent your HVAC system from overheating and damaging its parts. The switch stops the circuit and restarts the heating or cooling cycle when the temperature goes below 95°F.
