Description
The Trane SEN1513 is a zone sensor for use with HVAC systems that have two-stage fan operation. This sensor measures temperature in a particular zone and sends the information to the HVAC management system. It is usually mounted on a wall or ceiling. The control system then uses this temperature reading to adjust the fan speed (high or low) to keep the conditioned space at a desired temperature, as programmed. For instance, if the zone sensor shows a temperature outside the desired temperature range the system adjusts fan speed to pace up air circulation and arrive at the desired temperature quickly. This little but sturdy device is 4.68″ in length and 1.08″ in height and is made of sturdy ABS plastic.
