Description
The Trane SWT3019 is a Reverse Flow Switch safety device for Trane HVAC systems and is designed to keep water damage from occurring. This small switch with dimensions of 2.275 inches width, 3.375 inches height, and 0.4 inches thickness is mounted on the HE side of the return air. It controls the flow direction of water with the help of a 1/4” quick-connect terminal and is compatible with 120V as well as 240V. Intended for a reverse flow operation, it is designed to open whenever water flow reaches 95°F, which means there is a backflow situation. When normal flow is restored, and the temperature is below 85°F, the switch turns back on, thus relaunching the system.
