Description
The Trane THT2277 is a tube Mounted Thermostat for Trane HVAC equipment. The flow of warm air is controlled by this thermostat preventing freeze ups. This is how it operates: In a heating system, it is usually installed on a finned tube, such as an air handler or furnace. The senses of the temperature of the ambient air and when it decreases it activates an internal switch. At 20°F, the system’s default setting, the switch opens to signal that warm air should be delivered to the heat exchanger. However, the switch closes when there reaches 35°F (the default setting), which means that the temperature has been reached and the heating system can turn off. This temperature control system automatically works to keep pipes from freezing.
