Description
The Trane VAL8703 is a Thermal Expansion Valve 4-ton used in refrigerant systems, air conditioners in particular. This 4.4” long valve plays a significant role in enhancing system performance and safeguarding other parts. They perform the function of an expansion valve that controls the coolant flow into the evaporator coil by temperature. It also has a well designed port which allows for accurate flow control, and an integrated check valve to eliminate refrigerant back flow. The thermal actuator enables the valve to control automatically the flow of air depending on the temperature of the evaporator coil.
