Description
The Trane VAL8704 is a thermal expansion valve specifically designed for use with commercial and industrial refrigeration systems up to 6 tons. The valve measures the refrigerant’s temperature as it leaves the evaporator coil at about 250°F and then turns on the flow. The Trane VAL8704 maintains a precise level of refrigerant in the evaporator which improves system efficiency as well as provides the correct cooling performance. The valve itself is made of durable materials, a small size of 4.5″ long with inlet and outlet connections 3/8″ and 1/2″, and can take pressure up to 92 PSI.
