Description
The Xylem-Hoffman Specialty 699854 T-Stat Assembly is a critical component of F&T traps, which are widely used in steam heating systems. The purpose of this thermostat assembly is to control the air and condensate outflow from the steam system. Adjusting the trap’s functioning based on the temperature of the condensate is the job of the T-Stat Assembly. When air or low-density steam is detected by a dip in condensate temperature, the thermostat opens the trap to release the unwanted air or low-quality steam. On the other hand, when the temperature increases, which indicates that high-grade condensate is present, the thermostat closes the trap, avoiding the loss of important steam.
